Tech Support and Digital Services
Staff members are available by appointment to assist with your tech and digital literacy needs. Our staff can assist with device troubleshooting, how to use the internet and social media, how to use email and text messaging, and how to use library apps and platforms. We can also provide support for resume writing and online job applications.

Braille Library
The New York State Talking Book and Braille Library (TBBL) is a free library service for eligible residents of upstate New York who are unable to use standard print materials due to a visual or physical disability. Materials are mailed to and from library patrons at their homes at no charge. Currently, over 15,000 New Yorkers of all ages are registered for TBBL services.
The TBBL collection includes fiction and nonfiction audio and braille books, with over 70 magazine subscriptions available as well. The Library loans playback machines to those using audio books; books can also be downloaded directly to a tablet or smartphone.
STARCat Support
Access to all 48 Libraries within the Southern Tier Library System. Library cards are free, and it takes only a few minutes to create your account. You can borrow books from any library within the Southern Tier Library System.
Interested in digital collections? Download the Libby App to your computer or mobile device and listen (audiobooks) or read (e-Books on your device) for free using your library card. Once borrowed, these items do not require Wi-Fi to read / listen. Call to schedule an appointment to learn more about Libby!
Genealogy and Local History Request
Patrons can also access Heritage Quest Online, a service available only on-site at the library with your library card. This site provides access to Census records from 1790-1940 and full texts of more than 28,000 family and local histories. Heritage Quest access is funded with a generous grant from The Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning and the Finger Lakes.
Computers, Printing & Copies
Computers and tablets are available during open hours. $0.25 per page for printing copies. We do not have a fax available. Fax services are available at Dutton S. Peterson Library (Odessa) and CSS Workforce NY. There is no charge for printing school assignments.
